The entire project was carried out over a weekend without any disruption to the normal operation of the building.

The old chiller was shut down on Friday 21st January 2011 and the new chiller was operational on Monday 24th January 2011.

The old chiller was shut down on Friday 4th June 2010 and the new chiller was operational on Monday 7th June 2010.

• Disconnection & removal of existing Cast Iron Buderus Lollar Boilers and Reillo RS 38 Burners
• Supply and installation of 2no. new high efficiency condensing Rendamax R604 Gas Fired Condensing Boilers
• Installation of 2no. new flues from the boilers to roof level

• Installation of new pipework, boiler pumps, non-return valves, de-aerators, manometers and safety valves and connection to the existing LPHW flow and return headers
• Commissioning of the new boilers

• Strip out and removal from site of 2no. existing boilers
• Installation of 2no. new boilers

• All pipework alterations to accommodate the new installation
• Commissioning of the new installation

This project was carried out over the summer shutdown period in 2008.

• Strip out and removal from site of existing air handling unit, LPHW pump set and MCC panel
• Installation of a new air handling unit, LPHW pump set and MCC panel

• All pipework and ductwork alterations to accommodate the new installation
• Commissioning of the new installation

• Implementing and carrying out a traffic management plan to accommodate the crane lifts
• Removal of existing chillers and pumps using a mobile crane

• Disposing old equipment and R22 gas in accordance with regulations
• Lifting of new chillers, pumps and pre-fabricated pipework onto roof using a mobile crane
• Installation and commissioning of new chiller

The changeover was carried out over Easter weekend 2009 without any disruption to the normal operation of the building.

We pre-fabriacted most of the pipework installation prior to the changeover weekend to ensure the new installation could be completed in time.

The old chiller was shut down on Friday 22nd May 2009 and the new chiller was operational on Monday 25th May 2009.

• Replacement of 2no. 18,000 litre primary storage tanks

• Replacement of 1no. 9,000 litre primary storage tank

The project was strategically planned and carried out on a phased basis to ensure that there was no loss of water supply to the building.

• Replacement of power supply cables from basement switchroom to chiller
• De-Commissioning of existing roof mounted chiller
• Implementing and carrying out a traffic management plan to accommodate the chiller delivery

• Removal of existing chiller and positioning of new chiller on the roof using a mobile crane
• Disposing old chiller and R22 gas in accordance with regulations
• Installation and commissioning of new chiller, and upgrading of the BMS Controls System

This project presented major logistical challenges due to the LUAS roadworks being carried out in the area and required a high degree of management and close co-ordination with all stakeholders. The entire project took 3 weeks to complete, however the chiller changeover was done over the June Bank Holiday Weekend 2009 without any disruption to the normal operation of the building.

• Supply and installation of 9no. new high efficiency condensing Remeha Quinta 115 Gas Fired Condensing Boilers.
• Installation of 9no. new flues from the boilers to roof level.

• Installation of new pipework, valves, boiler pumps & low loss headers and connection to the existing LPHW flow and return headers.
• Commissioning of the new boilers.

This work was carried out during the heating season in November 2009. We carried out the work on a phased basis with certain elements done outside of normal working hours to ensure there was no loss of heat to the building throughout the installation.
